Working in conjunction with Keep Williamson Beautiful,
the Fairview Area Chamber of Commerce recently organized
Fairview's own cleanup day - Clean Sweep 2003 held on
April 12th.
Despite scheduling conflicts with a busy Saturday in
April, fifteen area residents responded to the call
for volunteers to pick up litter along Fairview's main
thoroughfares - Highway 100 and 96.
Through the combined efforts of these local volunteers,
Clean Sweep 2003 was able to accumulate and remove 85
full-size trash bags of litter from our community's
right-of-ways.
"It was truly a success with the help from chamber
members and a few dedicated community volunteers."
Dr. Robert Key, event coordinator said.
A special thanks goes out to all those who assisted
in the collection and removal of the litter.
